@Calliestarkey and I were out flyering for steemit with #promo-uk this weekend in Birmingham City Centre and Aston University Campus. We decided to do a quick survey to the 50 people we talked to. The survey showed that more and more people have heard of Bitcoin, however it is still used by a very small minority of people. Additionally, it has some negative associations, since the words money laundering came up a few times! We concluded that a lot of people stay away from crypto currencies due to the negative sentiment that is portrayed in the media. Maybe Steemit can help improve that!
