There's something about pain that emboldens people.
It can make you walk through a thunderstorm without fear. Makes you walk through a group of gangsters without batting an eye or make you walk down a dark scary road you'd never tow alone in moments of sanity. It makes you feel ready to fight and conquer your own demons.
There's something about grief, sadness, loss, hurt, depression that empowers people in a way no one can ever really understand.
Or how then do you think people get the courage to take their own lives?
Would they have reconsidered? If they knew they were destroying more than one life? Would they have gone on if they had shared their problems with someone? Maybe....maybe not. Now we would only imagine and hope no one feels that empowered around us.
