... or deconnecting from the daily routine.
As I was saying in the post from this morning, I went this weekend to the countryside. I went to an outdoor event, called Connected in nature. It was an event where we did some activities with the purpose of learning more about ourselves.
And we did. The activities that happened there were challenging. I had to find some stones blindfolded, I played volleyball with a blanket, I tried for the first time a slackline (and I fell down). I learned things about myself. I got some new insights, made new friends and had a good time overall.
Another big gain in this weekend was that there was no signal in the area. And it was a nice experience to disconnect myself from the world for a day. No internet, no messages, no facebook, instagram, youtube... nothing. For most of the time I didn't even carry the phone with me. I left it in my backpack.
Disconnecting from the daily stress it's a huge game changer. You never know how much plugged in you are, until you remove the plug. And you see how you reacted outside the network. How it is not the look at your phone every few minutes. How it is not to scroll down minutes in a row, without any aim. How it is to just look at the sky and breathe. Ah, this is such a nice feeling.
It was a fun weekend. I will probably do more of these in the future.
Here are some pictures of the place I went to:
