I'm so excited to write my first blog! Some of my main interests are horses, photography and sewing. Living in rural Alberta allows me to enjoy my horse 'Chica' every opportunity I get. My mom tells me that I could whinny like a horse before I started talking, so I've been horse crazy all my life! Its only been the last 10 years that I was able to have a horse of my own. My first horse was 'True", a purebred chestnut Quarter Horse gelding with a white blaze on his face. I thought i knew a lot about horses until i bought him. It was a rough beginning for True and I. He got spooked one time and bucked so much and so hard, I ended up with cracked and bruised ribs! Next was 'Chica", a purebred bay Standardbred mare. She used to race at Northlands (pacer/trotter) and I've slowly been making her in to a cow pony. We've even gone on a few cattle drives. I also got a pony named Rascal but I will save that story for another time :)
