Rally Catalunya was part of World Rally Championship for decades but for some reason they lost the organisation of the event in WRC. But I am sure that they will be back in next ten or twenty years after Rally Islas Canarias loose their momentum for organisation.
The quality of the roads is great, for both of events written above. There is not too much cutting because roads are paved from side to side so drivers can't bring too much dirt after them.
These days Catalunya Rqlly is part of their national rally Championship but still attracts lots of fans who attend it franticly.
