Crazy Giuseppe
A Short Story

Giuseppe looked at the old painting in his hands and felt sad.
He walked over to the window and reflected on his lawless surroundings. He had always hated old west Taos with its crooks and thieves . It was a place that encouraged his tendency to feel endangered .
Then he saw something in the distance, or rather someone. It was the figure of Petra . Petra was a deranged wretch with serious issues that seppe loved.
Giuseppe gulped. He glanced at his own reflection. He was a crazy, determined, whiskey drinker with paint stained hands and wrinkled arms. His friends saw him as an exceptional legendary artist. Once, he had even painted a piece for a King.
But not even a legend who had once painted for a King, was prepared for what Petra had in store today.
The snow flurried like a murder of crows landing, making Giuseppe depressed.
As Giuseppe stepped outside and Petra came closer, he could see the real disgust on her face.
Petra glared with all the wrath of 3618 hunting eagles. She said, in harsh tones, "I hate you and I want divorce."
Giuseppe looked back, even more depressed and still fingering the old painting. "Petra, please dont leave me, I Love You," he replied.
They looked at each other with deadly intent , like two high-pitched, harsh hawks zeroing in on a snake.
Giuseppe studied Petra's deranged look and fragile arms. Eventually, he took a deep breath. "I'm sorry," began Giuseppe in apologetic tones, "but I don't feel the same way, and I never will. I just don't hate you Petra."
Petra looked lonely, her emotions raw like a defeated, doubtful drawing.
Giuseppe could actually hear Petra's emotions shatter into 5178 pieces. Then the deranged cold wretch of a woman walked away into the distance.
Not even a glass of whiskey would calm Giuseppe's nerves tonight.
