My Thoughts for 2030 :
Bitcoin - A lot of Richie riches adopted the concept of bitcoin early in the game, BTC is blockchain's brave solider who though imperfect and has a question mark on its genesis, has truly awakened the world to the concept of digital freedom. I fear that the miners will get the better of this coin in future and the sacred 21 million limit might be up for debate and violated by the greedy and powerful... The coin will still deliver will dying on the field in the next 10-20 years. Litecoin to follow it like a younger brother will better access (who will never match the elder's stature)
Ethereum (ETH) : This limitless circulation currency, a corporate pony will outrun most of currencies in the market. I think it is yet another USD in making. Well, hop on till the ride lasts. and yes, it might last for a while, till the developers get pissed off again. The govt.s and the corporations will leave no stone upturned to get this token to mass adoption in this form or another. The countries might see there currencies on this platform with private blockchains. A closed source code Ethereum private blockchain currency would be a wet dream for any country, I guess.
Ethereum (ETC) : Might have a limited supply decision, and enjoy it cousins real estate too. This coin would always be an uncomfortable elephant in the room. Its future depends on the supply limit decision and acceptance (not many fancy it though). Might not make it to 2030 !
Ripple : The banker's coin. Have you heard of the list of blockchain patents filled by Bank of America, Bank of England, JPMC.. etc etc.... This could truly be the world currency which the masses need NOT use. Heard of SDRs ? Yes, they are building the international currency exchange frameworks on ripple at a breakneck speed. (They wont do that in Ethereum, I dont know why). I hope we don't see it around 2030 ;)
Monero : I wonder why nobody attacks this coin !!!! It promises anonymity and yet the governments tend to turn a blind eye to it. Would it become the blood gold by 2030!
Dash : Now, here is a coin, born with humble beginnings, addressed a few tech issues in bitcoin, the DAO posture doesn't look like sell outs. It has a dedicated team and it does not offer fancy features. It is among the very few who claim there token to be digital cash and nothing else. The DAO is surely rich, but we need them to be to keep the stupid people away. The creator understands the upcoming issues and works on the sole agenda of creating a great digital cash coin. A firm yes, we should see it in 2030 !
NEM : A good contender for mass adoption, but can it do it in good time ? Will it leave the strong hands and move to weaker ones ? I need some expert advise on it.
Steem : It will survive :) and flourish !!!! by 2030 robots will become a lot chatter-some :D
