When Vittorio thought about the best moments of his life he had no doubts: when he played volleyball, from courses for young people to series championships. He had never reached high levels, he couldn't say that being a sportsman was his job, but it sure was the happy reason why he got up in the morning. He had changed several teams, but had been lucky enough to meet good teammates and, over time, more than one friend. He had seen many boys get lost and take wrong paths and he thanked God for the blessing of having invested his excesses and frustrations in sport: it had taught him courage, team spirit, the tension for challenges, healthy adrenaline and attitude to never give up.

Quando Vittorio pensava ai momenti più belli della sua vita non aveva dubbi: quando giocava a pallavolo, dai corsi per giovani ai campionati di serie. Non aveva mai raggiunto livelli alti, non poteva dire che essere uno sportivo fosse il suo lavoro, ma di sicuro era il motivo felice per cui si alzava la mattina. Aveva cambiato diverse squadre, ma aveva avuto la fortuna di incontrare buoni compagni e, col tempo, più di un amico. Aveva visto molti ragazzi perdersi e imboccare strade sbagliate e ringraziava per la benedizione di aver investito i suoi eccessi e le sue frustrazioni nello sport: gli aveva insegnato il coraggio, lo spirito di gruppo, la tensione per le sfide, l'adrenalina sana e l'attitudine a non mollare mai.
