Mr. Antonio was an old-fashioned man. He had always worked in the family butcher's shop since he was a child and his father took him with him to learn the job. He had seen the world of commerce transform over time, technologies advance, shopping malls replace small neighborhood shops. Antonio, on the other hand, still believed that kindness towards customers and the quality of his meat were the only important characteristics of his work, and he loved to use his grandfather's old scale even if it took longer time, but no one complained.

Il signor Antonio era un uomo all'antica. Aveva sempre lavorato nella macelleria di famiglia fin da quando era piccolo e suo padre lo portava con se per imparare il mestiere. Aveva visto il mondo del commercio trasformarsi nel tempo, le tecnologie avanzare, i centri commerciali sostituire i piccoli negozi di quartiere. Antonio invece credeva ancora che la gentilezza verso i clienti e la qualità della sua carne fossero le uniche caratteristiche importanti del suo lavoro, e amava usare la vecchia bilancia del nonno anche se ci metteva più tempo, ma nessuno si lamentava.
