Elizabeth had been working at the zoo for several years, she was a rather nasty middle-aged lady from a difficult life and the recent loss of her husband. Although she was very fond of animals she was also particularly sad to see them living inside cages rather than free in their natural environments. A few months before, however, a small miracle had happened: Gina, a sweet Panda mother, had fallen ill during pregnancy and had risked losing her puppy but thanks to the passion and love of the zoo operators and the veterinarian they were both saved. From that day Elizabeth went to work with renewed enthusiasm to take care of the miracle of life.

Elizabeth lavorava allo zoo da parecchi anni, era una signora di mezza età piuttosto incattivita da una vita difficile e dalla recente perdita del marito. Sebbene amasse molto gli animali era anche particolarmente triste nel vederli vivere all'interno delle gabbie piuttosto che liberi nei loro ambienti naturali. Qualche mese prima però era successo un piccolo miracolo: Gina, una dolce mamma Panda, si era ammalata durante la gravidanza e aveva rischiato di perdere il suo cucciolo ma grazie alla passione e all'amore degli operatori dello zoo e del medico veterinario si erano salvati entrambi.
