Leslie was an avid hiker, and on her long nature walks she was always escorted by her faithful Toby, an icy-eyed Husky. Once they reached the top they would stop for a long time to observe the panorama, following the clouds with their eyes in religious silence, as if human and canine thoughts could somehow interface, in a sort of inter-species telepathic language. However one next to the other they could synchronize their breathing and enjoy the majestic beauty of nature.

Leslie era un'appassionata escursionista e nelle sue lunghe passeggiate nella natura era sempre scortata del fedele Toby, un Husky dagli occhi di ghiaccio. Una volta arrivati in cima si fermavano a lungo ad osservare il panorama, a seguire le nuvole con lo sguardo in religioso silenzio, come sei i pensieri umani e canini si potessero in qualche modo interfacciare, in una sorta di linguaggio telepatico inter specie. Comunque una accanto all'altro potevano sincronizzare il proprio respiro e godere della maestosa bellezza della natura.
