After a few years the anti-wrinkle cosmetic, derived from snake venom, showed in some cases of prolonged use the effect of paralyzing facial expressiveness. Women whose beauty remained unchanged over time, with the expressionless face of a wax statue, no eyebrows raised to convey wonder or amazement, no grimace or smile of the lips to remark amusement or joy. Snakes had almost disappeared from the face of the earth, while from women's faces had disappeared the vitality and expressiveness that made them unique, like a living painting to be gazed at endlessly.

Dopo qualche anno il cosmetico antirughe, ricavato dal veleno dei serpenti, mostrò in alcuni casi di uso prolungato l'effetto di paralizzare l'espressività facciale.
