Oliver was tired of working for low budget productions and this was really the last time, it was the proverbial last straw, while a big drop of sweat was sliding down his forehead. Not only did he have to do his own makeup, but he had to do it at home, because there were no dressing rooms or mirrors on the set. Although it was still early, the August sun was mercilessly warming the sheet metal of the bus and the people inside were gasping like goldfish in a putrid pond. However, some boys, with no lacking of energy and rudeness, mock Oliver and his appearance. What was certain was that the actor did not go unnoticed, with the deep black circles under his eyes, his funereal complexion and the bloodstain on his forehead, it was practically impossible not to notice him. Even a large gnat noticed him and began to annoy him. At that moment he would have exchanged his profession with that of a newsagent, in that small space, safe and shady, surrounded by magazines and newspapers that he could read without paying, was better than the Caribbean island with the palm tree. Certainly much better than crossing the city in August on public transport, in the makeup of the living dead and with dignity melting away, leaving a sad stench of loneliness in the air.
