According to Junior, there was no place that equaled the movie theater: there was food, air conditioning, that relaxing darkness, that adrenaline-charged sweat smell and above all lots of people and every couple of hours they changed. It was like being at the supermarket when they fill the half-empty shelves, that sense of endless abundance reassures you and puts you in a good mood. Junior was a fly and during screenings he could feed on the blood of viewers distracted by the film without having to dodge hands and other objects. On the evening of a vampire movie, Junior saw a human being bitten in the neck by one of his own kind appear on the screen, a red stream of blood flooded his jugular, the fly flew to the screen to join the feast, but the bleeding human was constantly changing position. Junior couldn't keep up, he flew sadly to the back of the theater and poked a rotund lady not at all agile and very static.

Secondo Junior non c'era posto che eguagliasse il cinema: c'erano cibo, aria condizionata, quella penombra rilassante, quell'odore sudore carico di adrenalina e soprattutto tante persone e ogni paio d'ore cambiavano. Era come stare al supermercato quando riempiono le scaffalature mezze vuote, quel senso di abbondanza senza fine ti rassicura e mette di buon umore. Junior era un moscherino e durante le proiezioni poteva cibarsi del sangue degli spettatori distratti dal film senza dover schivare mani e altri oggetti. La sera di un film di vampiri Junior vide apparire sullo schermo un'umana addentata al collo da un suo simile, un rosso fiotto di sangue innondò la sua giugulare, il moscherino si fiondò sullo schermo per partecipare al banchetto, ma l'umana sanguinante cambiava continuamente posizione. Junior non riusciva stare al passo, volò tristemente verso il fondo della sala e punzecchiò una rotondetta signora per nulla agile e molto statica.
