Julie didn't have sense of humor at all, and because of this, she often found herself, through a strange sense of irony, in comical situations, at least seen from the outside, but embarrassing from her point of view. Often when she went out with a guy and he tried to be funny, she never caught the funny part or pretended to be amused but clearly late in the game, calling her bluff.

Julie non aveva per niente senso dell'umorismo e spesso per questo motivo si ritrovava, per uno strano senso dell'ironia, in situazioni comiche, per lo meno viste dall'esterno, ma imbarazzanti dal suo punto di vista. Spesso quando usciva con un ragazzo e questo cercava di fare il simpatico, lei non coglieva mai la parte divertente oppure fingeva di divertirsi ma in evidente ritardo nei tempi, facendo trapelare il bluff.
