Max, con l'ottimista del principiante, risalì la pista comodamente seduto sulla seggiovia. Ancora qualche minuto e avrebbe messo in pratica le sue conoscenze teoriche sullo sci. Una volta in cima si mise gli sci con fare convinto, raggiunse la fine del tratto pianeggiante, guardò in basso per saggiare il pendio, quindi si lanciò senza paura. Fece una perfetta diagonale e riuscì a frenare per ridurre la velocità, in realtà rallentò troppo e si fermò del tutto prima di riuscire a curvare.
