Masha's transformation was also noticed by her schoolmates and a feeling of curiosity and admiration led her to be better considered from a social point of view. Girls sought her out and boys looked at her as if they were seeing her for the first time. La trasformazione di Masha fu notata anche tra i compagni di scuola ed un sentimento tra curiosità ed ammirazione la portò a essere meglio considerata dal punto di vista sociale. Le ragazze la cercavano ed i ragazzi la guardavano come se la vedessero per la prima volta. Masha era incuriosita da questo repentino cambio di atteggiamento, ma al contempo non potè fare a meno di considerare come la maggior parte dei compagni fossero superficiali. Come il vento aveva cambiato direzione una volta, poteva nuovamente soffiarle contro nel tempo di un battito di ciglia.
