After months of frantic searching Maurice had found it and he was sure it was him, there was a photo on the 2nd page of the cover that proved its authenticity. The book itself was not worth much, but the dedication written in his own hand by his grandfather for his wife before leaving for the war, made it a priceless family heirloom. Seize it was a matter of time and determination, and everything was in place to succeed. The countdown on the phone was running unhurriedly, the last long minutes of waiting were coming to an end, the competition would become fierce.

Dopo mesi di forsennata ricerca Maurice l'aveva trovato ed era sicuro che era proprio lui, c'era una foto della 2a pagina di copertina che ne provava l'autenticità. Il libro di per sè non valeva molto, ma la dedica scritta di proprio pugno da suo nonno per sua moglie prima di partire per il fronte, ne faceva un cimelio di famiglia dal valore inestimabile. Impossessarsene era una questione di tempo e determinazione, ogni cosa era stata predisposta per riuscire nell'intento. Il conto alla rovescia sul telefono scorreva senza fretta, gli ultimi lunghi minuti d'attesa stavano per volgere al termine, la competizione si sarebbe fatta serrata.
