It's official, there will be a (approximate) $20 donation made to Open Medicine Foundation this month. Here's my plan:
Since I am still building up this account and do not want to power down this month, I have decided to transfer funds from my primary account @cryptounicorn420 and combine it with the HBD on this account to do the donation.
OMF does accept crypto donations, but not specifically Hive. I will exchange the HBD (or in general swap.hive and other tokens) for LTC and use LTC as the donating currency. I will create a separate LTC account to do this and will share all transaction info once it is set up and the donation is made. I have about $12 in swap.ltc on my main account and I'll use that plus whatever other funds I need to reach a little over $20 to do the first donation.
Pretty cool huh?
I also want to make a pledge that I will donate at least $20 a month until the end of the year (total of a minimum of $80), even if most of those donations come from my primary account the first few months.
I am a huge believer in compound interest and don't mind subsidizing the donations this account makes if it means I can focus on building this account up for a few months.
I don't have an exact date yet as to when I will make the donation but it will likely be closer to the end of the month. I am currently house hunting so my schedule/energy expenditure is a bit unknown and can't promise a specific date.
So that's the plan. I am very excited about this. I am grateful for all the support I've received since starting this project.
