After doing some thinking I have decided that September will be the last curation power up match at least for the year. It is becoming a bit counter -productive. I will explain why.
When I first started the matches were about 12 HIVE. Last month was 20. This is because the effective HP has increased (this is a good thing) as well as when HIVE price goes down, more HIVE is earned in general. The curation power up matches have done it's job-increasing the HP.
Why this is counter productive is because in the next few months I will need liquid HIVE to buy UNICOIN for the distributions. I still have several months worth of UNICOIN in the wallet but I want to be prepared.
Since I don't post on this account much I am not earning a lot of liquid HIVE. I don't want to power down. So...this seems like the logical thing to do.
Yes, the HP and all token holdings in this account are backing UNICOIN and I don't need to buy them directly. However, I want this account to further support the @uni-coin account and purchasing some or all of the tokens with liquid HIVE is a good way to do that.
It's just more balancing. I focused on building this account over the @uni-coin account for most of the year so far. Now it's time to balance that out.
This doesn't mean I will be buying UNICOIN every month. Sometimes I will just let the HP growth on this account back the tokens.
Basically I can't do both the HP match and use the liquid earnings to buy the tokens. So a decision has been made. I may still power up on occasion.
I am neutral if not slightly positive about this. I am just keeping you all informed in case anyone wonders why I stopped doing it, or stopped doing it regularly.
