Yes we are building another model.

When we were finishing the last one, I already knew that this boy could do the next one by himself.

Here we are. The last one was a Level 3 model and we had no painting to do. This one is a Level 5 and all the pieces are white. They all need paint before gluing them.

The bumpers and valve covers are chrome out of the box. Everything else had to be painted.

by the end of the first day, he had the engine done. My tongue was sore from biting it as I let my youngest make all the decisions on his own. There is nothing so critical that it is not worth a lesson learned.

I have to admit - these engine parts come with a lot of detail. I was amazed to watch as he painted the fan belts.

My boy woke up and worked all day on the model and when it was time to stop, he realized that his phone was on the coffee table, still plugged in and charging. He had not bothered to search any memes or message his friends all day.

Now that's concentration!

We had to stop because we don't have a color for the body - I have to make a run to Top Gun and grab some more paint.
