Lumina’s story has touched many throughout the Splinterlands community, and we’ve been looking for a meaningful way to honor her memory. The beloved daughter of Dwayne Cunningham, known to many in our community as Infidel1258, Lumina lived with Walker-Warburg syndrome, and throughout her life, she and her family faced extraordinary challenges with tremendous love, faith, and strength.
Throughout it all, Dwayne’s deep Christian faith has remained a source of hope, comfort, and strength, guiding him and his family through even the hardest moments.
Beyond his personal journey, Dwayne has been a passionate advocate for Splinterlands for years. Through his YouTube content as Infidel1258, he has helped countless players discover and enjoy the game, always sharing with genuine enthusiasm and care for the community. He also stepped up as a volunteer with the SPS DAO Foundation, thoughtfully discussing proposals and helping push forward ideas that strengthen the DAO and the game for all of us.
In honor of Lumina and the remarkable care she received, we are organizing a charity event to support Canuck Place Children’s Hospice, the place that walked alongside their family with compassion throughout her life.
Lumina’s favorite card was Angel of Light, a beautiful and fitting symbol of the light she brought to those around her.
As part of this effort, we also want to give the community some advance notice that in early September, we will release a special **Land card created in Lumina’s honor. The Regular Foil card will be available at **max level for $35 for one week. Special Foil cards will follow soon after.
We’re sharing this early so anyone who would like to take part has time to prepare. More details about the card and the charity event will be shared as we get closer.
We hope the Splinterlands community will come together to support Dwayne and his family, celebrate Lumina’s memory, and help Canuck Place continue the incredible work they do for children and families.
With love and support,
The Splinterlands Team
