Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Challenge Featuring "Lost Legendaries" Ruleset!

For this week's challenge, we will showcase the 'Lost Legendaries' ruleset, where Legendary units may not be used (Legendary summoners are still available.). I will share a Modern Tournament Battle (Ferexian Modern Silver Invitational). Let's take a closer look at the card I used in this this ruleset and how it contributed to my team's victory.

Battle Configuration

For this battle, here are the specific rulesets and a mana cap to consider:

Maneuvers: All units gain Reach.
What Doesn't Kill You: All untis have the Enrage ability.
Lost Legendaries: Legendary Monsters may not be used in battles.

Mana Cap: 51
Active Elements: Water, Earth, Life, Death, Dragon

Summoner: Helios Matriarch

• Abilities: All friendly Monsters have +1 Speed. Allows the use of one additional Gladiator card in battle.
• Since this is a Dragon Summoner, I used Dragon elements together with Earth for this battle.

Position 1: Grund

• Grund has the Double Strike ability and can deal massive damage to the enemy when Enraged.

Position 2: Quora Towershead

• This monster is a Gladiator card which was summoned using Helios Matriarch's ability. Since it will have the Reach ability, it can utilize its Magic and Melee Attacks even if it is in the second position.

Position 3: Fungus Flinger

• This monster has the Martyr ability and as well as Blind which is very useful against melee and ranged attacks.

Position 4: Mycelic Slipspawn

• The main purpose of this monster is to taunt the enemies while my main damagers are dealing massive damage to the enemy.

Position 5: Goblin Psychic

• This is my support monster that can heal the allied monster in the first position.

Position 6: Supply Runner

• The main purpose of this card is to provide additional speed to allied monsters so that it has the higher chance to attack first.

Strategy:

The strategy here is to outclass the opponent in terms of power output. Grund and Quora Towershead are the primary attackers while Mycelic Slipspawn will taunt the enemy attacks. In this ruleset Lost Legendaries, I made sure to utilize Epic Monsters as much as possible because at the right set up, they are the most powerful in this ruleset.

Let's Rumble

The enemy used Lobb Lowland and summon Quora Towershead to the battle field, too. The enemy also used Thane Newsong to buff the melee attack of its allied monsters. The primary tank of the enemy is Pelacor Mercenary with its 10 HP.

Let the battle begins!

The fight went as planned, and my monsters were able to defeat the enemy one by one. Grund's Enrage activated and dealt massive damage to the enemy upfront. My lineup of monsters also synergized with each other, leading the team to victory.
