Insulators are made out of petroleum based product I believe... the new hard plastic or rubbery ones. We call the rubbery type ones apoxies??? I will check out what they are made of in the morning. One thing I do know is they don't last long on the 500,000 volt line. They basically just melt off and turn to mush. Lol
