Basket of 15 Cryptos as of 12/03/2023
Its been a good week, I rebalanced the basket after uploading last week's report and the timing was perfect because everything tanked a few hours after so the profits we made some SHIB and DOGE were cashed out and reallocated into smaller holdings. I dumped QNT which has been out of the top 50 for a few weeks and replaced it with INJ.
We got lucky to hold SOL and ADA when they were mooning for 6-8 weeks and we got lucky again with selling SHIB and DOGE at the perfect time. Allocations this week are looking better and everything is within its range of +/-1%.
That is the best-looking chart we've seen almost since launch. Most stuff went up, a few things went down and BNB is up a bunch this week but it's still within its range. The dollar value increased by $770ish, not bad. Up over 2.5x in $ terms so far.
😲 The book value of XV has gone down. HIVE is up 6% this week which does not seem like alot but this has outperformed against our basket of 15. We finish still over 2 HIVE per XV token which i consider a win. At least we are still doubling up on our HIVE.
Ive been saying HIVE will outperform the basket for months now, this week im right. What will happen next week? No idea, flip a coin, heads for HIVE, tails for the basket.
Big HIVE loss this week and back under 20k in profit. This is normal and what happens, is 5 steps up, 2 steps down, rise and repeat.
As long as we dont have many weeks where we are losing 4-figure HIVE amounts in value, we'll be ok. The total HIVE value is 37k atm.
Round-Up
Solid week, im happy everything has stayed within its allocation. I guess as we head further into the bullrun, we'll see all the tokens in our basket moon but all at different times. This will make my job very fun and deciding when to rebalance will be important. ETH fees are silly again, last week it cost $65 for 2 ETH transactions which sucks balls. Luckily, most other chains are pretty cheap. Being able to link Trust with Binance removes alot of the human error element which can save alot money because human error is just a numbers game.
So the book value dropped this week but the dollar value increased. I can live with this and I guess you can as well because $'s is king. BTC is king but you know what I mean.
