Turbulent times calls for turbulent actions, hehe.
Dressing is really the aspect of human life that's not well taught in school and it seriously needs to be inculcated in it and emphasis made in that regard because there are a lot of persons that dress good but wrongly as the occasion calls for.
What I mean here is that it's becoming rampant seeing people put on a dress that's ideally meant to be for social gatherings to church, seeing people dressing corporate to clubs and so on and so forth.
Picking up a dress, not just a dress but an appropriate dress for an appropriate occasion sometimes becomes a hard nut to crack especially when you're someone who has many options of clothes to make selection from.
Personally, there are moments it becomes difficult for me to make a choice and I go as far as seeking for my friends opinion on clothes I'll put on but sometimes also, it's very fast for me to make those decisions.
Factors That Determine The Time Spent To Make A Cloth Selection
- Many Clothes:
Obviously someone who has two trousers and two shirts won't have trouble making a selection for the cloth he or she will wear as to compared to someone who has 20 trousers and shirts.
- Time To The Event:
When running late most times especially for persons that didn't select their clothes a day to the event they want to go for, they are fast to select the cloth in the most perfect shape they can lay their eyes on and rush out because they are running late already.
Take for instance, the moments I need to go for 6am masses and I woke up 5:45am, I obviously won't have time to spend thinking about clothes I'll wear as compared to when I wake up by 4am
- The Occasion In Question
Most times, we have difficulty making a cloth selection because we don't have the appropriate cloth for that particular event and we end up going multiple times In our wardrobe trying to find an alternative.
These and many more factors contribute to the time we spend.
Does this affect you in any way?
Yes, it does.
Most times when I don't take the time to pick my clothes a day before the event, I might end up wearing what I don't like.
Sometimes, I end up wearing what I wore last Sunday for the next Sunday simply because I was in a hurry and I'm not happy when it happens.
Do I Plan To Change It?
Obviously yes... I want to change it.
Actually the plans of changing it have been in place for a while now but it's just that I'm yet to completely eradicate it.
Most times, I always make my selections a day before and this will make me still go to the occasion with my desired cloth even if I was in a hurry to leave.
I also try to get a cloth atleast for all the occasions... This helps me reduce the time I spend cycling around my wardrobe in search of cloth to wear.
Clothes are very nice but they're nicer when we wear appropriate clothes for appropriate occasions.
