I love writing poetry because of how it sounds
How it rhymes in my head
All the ups and downs
But it's not often that I do it. Writing poetry, I mean. I have much more pressing issues to deal with so most of the time poetry remains untouched. Or at least it's not written here on Steemit. Instead, I'm using an application to write down rhymes when they come to my head.
Why am I doing it? I think I'm getting dopamine from writing a beautiful rhyme. And if it sounds awesome - I'm delighted. It feels like I'm becoming a Shakespear or something. It's my way to inspire myself and look at the world from a different perspective. It's just like changing an old lens.
From the back of my mind
They got louder and louder
''Write us down''
''Look over your shoulder''
We're strong like boulders
We're hiding in folders
Open yourself up or else you will smolder
Words are talking to me. It sounds crazy but that's how it is. Words are setting me free. It sounds amazing and that's how it is.
