It will do some things a lot quickers, smarter, cheaper etc At the same time who gets the income out of this?

This a genuine concern. Most of the time it is the owners of large corporations that reap the benefits of technology. Technology has increased both efficiency (production) and demand for new goods and services. The demand requires people to earn more money. Most of the additional earnings from new technology is used to address that demand. The companies benefit from lower costs of production and higher demand. It is also the higher demand that is keeping people in jobs.

My solution is for investment to come from more people. This is going to be difficult to achieve, if people are tackling debt and not saving.
