With the rise of blockchain technology comes with it a vast expanse of new and unexplored opportunities.
No more fucking banks. No more middlemen. Technology may become the only middle man... I imagine our buying, selling, trading, giving, receiving experience of currency to become so damn easier in the near future. Mainly in the sense that transactions will happen near instantaneously. If I want to send, let's say 'Jim', five dollars right now, I will be able to do that RIGHT NOW, say I have the five dollars. Simple shit like that... and when blockchain merges with mobile phones and retail stores, that is when shit is going to get real. I hear awesome and incredible things going on at SIRIN LABS who are working on integrating blockchain with their own smartphone. Check it.
Logistics will be far more efficient as far as record keeping.
It will be interesting to see how our government responds to it though, since it's such a breakaway from our current traditional form of money/currency.
