Pittock Mansion
Last winter I visited the Pittock mansion in Portland, Orgeon with my partner. The structure itself was pretty cool but the view from the backyard was spectacular. I highly recommend going there for anyone in the Portland area. They decorate the house quite elaborately for Christmas, but I recommend going there for the view even if you don't actually go inside (which unfortunately isn't free).

As you can see the view of the city and mountain is quite beautiful.
