As I said, I’m trying to become less camera shy, putting out videos regardless their being perfectly polished. I woke up yesterday and made this vlog.

I’m working on a video series looking at making Souffle. There still are a few parameters that I’m testing, but hope to have these ready for next week.
I blew up my microwave oven! The good news is that it was repairable and I’m picking it up from the shop today.
Whitman county just informed me that I owe back taxes. Yikes! The good news is that this is an error on their part and they are waiving the $500 in interest charges that were included in my bill.
I have many quesitons about Steemit still and the algorithm. For example, why does the payout change in time – not the USD estimate, but the actual payout. For example from hour to hour the SP and SBD payout changes. I wish I understood this. I also don’t understand why USD are used at all on this site. I find that it makes things confusing. I understand that there is a goal of having a 1:1 USD:SBD rate, but this doesn’t seem to be the case, so why not simply work entirely in Steem instead? Lastly I don’t understand voting for “witnesses”. I vaguely understand that this is related to the hardware associated with the currency, but I don’t exactly understand this fully.
