A shark living near greenland has the highest expected livespan on earth. It can live up to 400 years.
And again - sorry - I could not find a picture of that specific shark - of course I have not seen or photographed one by myself.
400 years - That is alot! If there would be a shark today with that age it would have seen several wars on earth. The first world war, the second world war and even the times of Napoleon and the european inquisition.
Such a high lifespan is amazing and I wish that humans could live that long aswell. Without the process of aging of course!
Maybe there will be some solutions for the biological limit of a human life in the near future. The people that are in their twenties now might actually be able to witness such scientific advantage!
Nevertheless it is amazing what some animals are capable of. Galapagos tortoises are know to become very old aswell. Up to 200 years is possible!
