Safety First
G'Day from the great down under Australia. I am Izaac Black (9yrs Old) and I believe you can always be Super Cool even while wearing safety gear. I learnt the hard way, and believe me it was no fun at all. Scratched, scrapped and bruised and bleeding everywhere, but the scariest part of all was not being able to walk or move for three days and stuck in a bed in hospital.
Seriously, dudes....Safety Gear is my campaign and if ya gonna be cool to play the game.....then do it right in the first place.
I live my life to the fullest extreme and I have dreams I want to achieve. I don't need scrambled brains I wear my helmet to make sure I am safe.
ALWAYS WEAR A HELMET
From a young age I learnt always to wear protective safety gear. And this is one thing I need to make clear. The day of the accident my helmet saved my life, if I was not wearing it I would not be alive. I was riding a quad bike and made a wrong turn and went down a cliff face and head on into a tree. My head hit the tree at full force and even got wedged in the fork of the trunk. It was the most frightening time of my life. But that helmet took all the force of the impact and saved my life and my brain.
Three days and two night bed bound in the hospital and not able to walk or move. Everyone was scared if I would ever walk again. Brain scans here and xrays there and no broken bones. But I still could not walk or move. My Mother slept on the couch beside me, feed me, washed me and even had to help me pee into a bottle. It was a horrifying time.
I HAVE DREAMS
I am going to be grateful and live my life to the fullest because each day is a gift. I have an ambition to fly a plane and become a Pilot one day. I hope the same for you but ask you to always be safe. Because the words "it won't happen to me" is not a certainty. Look after yourself and always be safe and always where your helmet.
