As you all know that the Pitra Paksh is running right now. After worshiping their ancestors, people feed crows. It is said that this food reaches to our ancestors through crows.
But is it true? Does food served to crows really reach to our ancestors? or it is a hypocrisy only? Was our sage mad? Who used to ask to make kheer and feed it to crows and used to say that if we feed crows then our ancestors will get it.
You all must have heard a lot about Shraddh. In which people say how do you know that your ancestors take food only? This is all hypocrisy spread by Brahmins. In which Brahmins fool people in the name of worship. People say that this hypocrisy are made by Brahmins to exploit people and thus they make fun of Hinduism and Hindus and degrade Hindus.
When people of other religions make fun of these things, then it is understandable that they have no meaning with our great civilization and culture. They just have to degrade us and only us. But when a Hindu makes a mockery of his religion about all these things and calls these things hypocritical, then I want to ask one thing to all Hindus who consider themselves very modern and blindly adopt western culture when they have no idea about it.
Have you ever wanted to know what is the main reason behind Shraddh? Were our ancestors so foolish as to feed crows and say that we are feeding our ancestors? Or is there some deeper fact behind it. Have you ever thought that once we know the real reason behind it then we will decide whether it is right or wrong? Your answer will be no. We know what others have told us, because we do not have time to know the real fact behind it, even if people have told us wrong.
Let me tell you how revolutionary ideas had our sages. Have you ever planted peepal or banyan trees or seen anyone planting them? Do you ever find peepal or banyan seeds? Your answer will be no. Whether you try to plant Peepal or Banyan cutting as many times, but it will not take place. The reason for this is that the nature has made a separate arrangement for planting these two useful trees. The crows eats fruits, called Goda, of these two trees and the seeds of these two trees are processed in their stomachs. Then the seeds are worth growing. After that, both these trees grow where the crows give excreta.
Peepal is the only tree in the world that emits oxygen 24 hours and banyan has many medicinal properties that can not be described. That is why, both these trees are very useful for us. You can feel yourself standing under these two trees during the summer days, how helpful these two trees are in solving global warming problem. If you want to grow both of them, then it is not possible without the help of crows, so the crows have to be saved. But how would this be possible? The female crow lays eggs in the month of Bhado (August-September) and newborns are born. Children of this new generation should get nutritious and rich food. Therefore our sages and monks arranged nutritious food for the newborn crows in the form of Shraddh so that the new generation of crows can be nurtured. Therefore, whenever you see peepal and banyan trees, you will remember your ancestors, because they did shraddh, so we are seeing these useful trees. Therefore, before raising a finger on your religion, know the underlying secret behind something and then raise a finger on it.
