I was attracted by the title of this movie and as I have been taking care of my grandmother for years I identified myself, but the movie itself had nothing to do with the title, it is about a renowned lawyer who works for the government as a guardian of the elderly, her job is to place in care centers, nursing homes and old people's homes people who can not take care of themselves or who have no one to take care of them.
He also took care of managing their assets to pay for their housing, medicine and care, this person takes care of everything, the true function of a guardian. One may think that it is a very noble job and that whoever performs it is a good person, but in this film we can see someone ambitious and perverse behind this job, managing a network of corruption which starts with the private or family doctors of each of these elderly people, these doctors violate professional ethics and give personal data to these people who work as tutors and the hunt begins.
The main character is Marla Grayson (Rosamund Pike), she is a successful lawyer with a lucrative business, she looks for elderly people with good economic resources to become their guardian and take advantage of their assets, without any scruples and even taking them away from their relatives claiming that they could not take care of themselves and were alone, Everything was going well until they got the wrong old lady, through a doctor they found Jennifer Peterson (Dianne Wiest) who was an independent person supposedly single and childless, millionaire, but she had a false identity, this lady belonged to an old Russian mafia.
Up to this point the movie seemed to me serious and that it could send a thoughtful message about the treatment of the elderly which was the theme that caught my attention, but then there was an unexpected twist going from serious to humorous, it turns out that the son of the old woman was the actor Peter Dinklage the same who played the character of Tyrion Lannister in the War of Thrones, He appeared showing himself tough, but surrounded by incapable people who made the rescue of his mother fail on several occasions, which caused me dissatisfaction, but I kept watching it mostly for the interpretation of the protagonist, her character full of ambition and strength caused me suspicion.
After a while between the struggle of the forces of evil against evil, because there was no good on either side, the film improved by giving the impression that the most evil would be defeated, you can see the protagonist who became an excellent lawyer to face the mafia as one of them, saving his life and that of his partner who was another woman, very smart and risky seemed the daughter of macgyver remember this character 馃ぃ馃檴馃檲
As this woman was invincible, she ended up joining the mafia she was fighting with, making her richer and more famous, in the end they decided to end the movie with a tasteless revenge.
Me sent铆 atra铆da por el t铆tulo de esta pel铆cula y como hace a帽os cuido a mi abuela me identifique, pero en s铆 la pel铆cula no ten铆a nada que ver con el t铆tulo, se trata de una reconocida abogada qu茅 trabaja para el gobierno como tutora de personas mayores, su trabajo consiste en ubicar en centros de cuidado, casas de reposo y ancianatos a personas que no se pueden cuidar por s铆 mismas o que no tienen a nadie que se encargue de ellos.
Tambi茅n se ocupaba de administrar sus bienes para costear su alojamiento, medicina y cuidados, esta persona se encarga de todo, la verdadera funci贸n de un tutor. Uno puede pensar que es un trabajo muy noble y que quien lo realice es buena persona, pero en esta pel铆cula podemos ver a alguien ambicioso y perverso detr谩s de este empleo, manejando una red de corrupci贸n qu茅 inicia con los m茅dicos privados o de cabecera de cada una de estas personas mayores, estos m茅dicos violan la 茅tica profesional y dan los datos personales a estas personas que trabajan de tutores y comienza la cacer铆a.
La protagonista es Marla Grayson (Rosamund Pike), ella es una abogada exitosa con un negocio lucrativo, busca personas mayores con buenos recursos econ贸micos para convertirse en su tutor y aprovecharse de sus bienes, sin ning煤n escr煤pulo e incluso apart谩ndolos de sus familiares alegando que no se pod铆an cuidar de s铆 mismos y estaban solos, todo iba bien hasta que se equivoc贸 de anciana, por medio de una doctora dieron con Jennifer Peterson (Dianne Wiest) quien era una persona independiente supuestamente soltera y sin hijos, millonaria, pero ten铆a una identidad falsa, esta se帽ora pertenec铆a a una antigua mafia Rusa.
Hasta este punto la pel铆cula me parec铆a seria y que pod铆a enviar un mensaje reflexivo sobre el trato hacia los adultos mayores que fue el tema por el que me llamo la atenci贸n, pero despu茅s hubo un giro inesperado pasando de serio a humor铆stico, resulta que el hijo de la anciana era el actor Peter Dinklage el mismo que hizo el personaje de Tyrion Lannister en la guerra de tronos, apareci贸 mostr谩ndose rudo, pero rodeado de incapaces que hicieron que el rescate de su madre fallara en varias ocasiones, lo que me produjo insatisfacci贸n, pero segu铆 vi茅ndola m谩s que nada por la interpretaci贸n de la protagonista, su personaje lleno de ambici贸n y fuerza me causaba suspicacia.
Despu茅s de un rato entre la lucha de las fuerzas del mal contra el mal, porque all铆 no hab铆a bien por ning煤n lado, la pel铆cula mejoro al dar la impresi贸n que los m谩s malos ser铆an vencidos, se puede ver la protagonista que paso a ser una excelente abogada a enfrentar a la mafia como una m谩s de ellos, salvando su vida y la de su pareja que era otra mujer, muy inteligente y arriesgada parec铆a la hija de macgyver recuerdan este personaje 馃ぃ馃檴馃檲
Como esta mujer era invencible, termino uni茅ndose la mafia con la que luchaba, haci茅ndola m谩s rica y famosa, al final decidieron terminar la pel铆cula con una venganza de mal gusto.

馃帴 I found the initial plot interesting.
馃帴 It stays in the psychological stress genre, but I don't like the mix of humor.
馃帴 They create a false expectation in the viewer and it ends up being disappointing.
馃帴 The performances were attached to the characters and I thought they were good.
馃帴 I recommend it to be watched on a Sunday afternoon if you can't find anything else interesting to watch.
