Specifically, it's inspired by the creature card Cryptic. I hope you like the final result and enjoy the creation process I'll be narrating.
Hola amigos y comunidad de Splinterlands, espero que todos estén teniendo un lindo día. Hoy regreso para compartirles mi último fanart inspirado en el universo de Splinterlands. Específicamente, está inspirado en la carta de la criatura Cryptic. Espero que les guste el resultado final y que disfruten del proceso de creación que estaré narrando.
I consider Cryptic to be a creature of the night, characterized above all by mystery and scheming, with dark eyes that always hide ulterior motives. I wanted to capture all of that in my drawing, so I chose a frontal pose with a large, ironic smirk. That smile, along with its bony hands ending in long claws, I think is the most chilling feature of this being.
Considero que Cryptic es una criatura de la noche, que se caracteriza sobre todo por el misterio y la maquinación, que detrás de sus tenebrosos ojos siempre oculta segundas intenciones. Quise dejar todo eso reflejado en mi dibujo, por lo que seleccioné una pose que fuese de frente y que esbozara una sonrisa grande e irónica. Su sonrisa, junto a sus huesudas manos terminadas en largas uñas, creo que es la característica más escalofriante de este ser.

My drawing began with a very simple sketch of the idea. I didn't use any reference since I knew exactly what I wanted to achieve.
Mi dibujo comenzó con un boceto muy simple de la idea. No usé referencia ya que sabía exactamente lo que quería lograr.
Based on this sketch, I added some details and the position of the hand, using different brushes with varying opacities and thicknesses.
A partir de este boceto, agregué algunos detalles y la posición de la mano, usando distintos pinceles con distintas opacidades y grosores.
With my clean sketch, I simply traced the entire lineart using a solid inking brush and playing with the line values, trying to make the work as detailed and precise as possible.
Con mi boceto limpio, simplemente tracé todo el lineart utilizando un pincel para entintado sólido y jugando con los valores de la línea, tratando de hacer el trabajo lo más detallado y preciso posible.
The next step was to color the entire lineart, adding details like some volumes, highlights, and shadows, respecting the card's colors but making them brighter and with smooth transitions.
El siguiente paso fue colorear todo el lineart, dar detalles como algunos volúmenes, luces y sombras, respetando los colores de la carta pero más brillantes y con transiciones suaves.
I placed my entire drawing over a dark background to enhance the mystery of the composition, and that was my final result. I hope you liked this fan art. I had a lot of fun drawing it, and I think it's one of my favorite Splinterlands pieces, besides being the kind of drawing I usually do.
