Synopsis

Much has been said about this film as a plot about obesity, the truth is that I felt that the focus is more towards depression.
It is a film where you can see the loneliness, traumas of the characters and even homophobia.
It is a journey into the emotions of the character, personally I like that it is more about the emotional than about his obesity.
With this film I felt I traveled from rejection to empathy, to feel how emotions can take you to extremes.
Fraser's performance is wonderful, you can tell he went inside his own experiences to give such an extraordinary interpretation.
It is a story with few characters and it is really an emotional journey that allows us to see the importance of human relationships.
Within the plot there are many messages that we must evaluate with a look of understanding. A few days ago I read that some activists said that the film was ¨gordophobic¨. Let's remember that fatphobia are the practices, speeches or actions that generate mockery, rejection, prejudice, infringe the rights or achievements of fat people.
I think we all have different visions, depending on the things that affect us directly or that we have reviewed within ourselves.
Even with all that a narrative like this can awaken, I found it extraordinary and full of hope. It is an invitation for us not to be oblivious to the pain of others, being part of the hard moments of someone's life can save them.

Mucho se ha comentado de está película como una trama sobre la obesidad, la verdad es que yo sentí que el enfoque es más hacía la depresión.
Es una película donde se observa la soledad, traumas de los personajes y hasta la homofobia.
Es un viaje hacía las emociones del personaje, personalmente me gusta que se trate de lo emocional más que sobre su obesidad.
Con está cinta sentí que viajé del rechazo a la empatía, de sentir como las emociones pueden llevarte a los extremos.
La actuación Fraser es maravillosa, se nota que fue adentro de sus propias experiencias para dar tan extraordinaria interpretación.
Es una historia con pocos personajes y realmente es un trayecto hacía lo emotivo que nos permite ver la importancia de las relaciones humanas.
Dentro de la trama hay muchos mensajes que debemos evaluar con una mirada de comprensión. Hace unos días leí que algunos activistas decían que la película era ¨gordofobica¨. Recordemos que la gordofobia son las prácticas, discursos o acciones que generan burlas, rechazo, prejuicioso vulneran los derechos o logros de las personas gordas.
Creo que todos tenemos visiones distintas, dependiendo de las cosas que nos afectan directamente o hemos revisado en nuestro interior.
Aún con todo lo que puede despertar una narrativa como esta me pareció extraordinaria y llena de esperanza. Es una invitación para que no seamos ajenos al dolor de otros, ser parte de los momentos duros de la vida de alguien puede salvarlos.
