[ESP-ING] Mi primera visita al Museo Nacional de Bogotá - My first visit to the National Museum of Bogota

Este domingo visité el Museo Nacional de Bogotá, un recorrido que ya tenía rato con ganas de hacer.

Fui con mi esposo quien ya había ido a ese lugar durante la pandemia, pero habían muchas salas cerradas para ese entonces.

Este museo esta ubicado en carrera 7, # 28-66, en la ciudad de Bogotá, Colombia.

This Sunday I visited the National Museum of Bogota, a tour that I had been wanting to do for a while.

I went with my husband who had already been there during the pandemic, but there were many rooms closed by then.

This museum is located in carrera 7, # 28-66, in the city of Bogota, Colombia.

La primera sala que visité fue una en homenaje a Antonio Caro quien fue un artista conceptual de Colombia, falleció en el 2021.

Fue un artista muy polémico que es muy recordado por su obra de 1976, donde escribe la palabra COLOMBIA con la misma tipografía de Coca-Cola. Luego en 1978 realiza la serie "Todo está muy Caro".

Un artista critico y anti-convencional que usaba el arte como expresión de los problemas sociales que experimentaba Colombia, durante toda su carrera.

The first room I visited was one in homage to Antonio Caro who was a conceptual artist from Colombia, he passed away in 2021.

He was a very controversial artist who is well remembered for his work of 1976, where he wrote the word COLOMBIA with the same typography of Coca-Cola. Then in 1978 he made the series "Todo está muy Caro" (Everything is very expensive).

A critical and anti-conventional artist who used art as an expression of the social problems experienced in Colombia throughout his career.

En la siguiente hay una muestra de artistas que pintan los paisajes de Buenaventura, que es una isla de Colombia.
Se pueden ver desde fotografías, pinturas con oleo, y una representación a escala de una vivienda indígena.

The following is an exhibition of artists painting the landscapes of Buenaventura, which is an island in Colombia.
You can see photographs, oil paintings, and a scale representation of an indigenous dwelling.

Haré una parada para mostrarle la siguiente pieza de arte plástico.

Se llama "Paisajes Residuales", es del artista Juan Durán, elaborada en el 2019. Esta hecha con plástico y materiales tecnológicos fundidos.
Un proceso de 3 meses de recolectar bolsas plásticas de productos desechados por 200 familias.

La basura fue comprimida y transformada en estas líneas con ondas.
El artista quería hacer alusión a que Buenaventura es una ciudad construida sobre un lugar lleno de rellenos.
Realmente esto me impresionó, me pareció increíble las formas y las tonalidades obtenidas.

I will make a stop to show you the following piece of plastic art.

It is called "Paisajes Residuales" (Residual Landscapes), it is by artist Juan Durán, made in 2019. It is made with plastic and melted technological materials.
A 3 month process of collecting plastic bags of discarded products from 200 families.

The garbage was compressed and transformed into these lines with waves.
The artist wanted to allude to the fact that Buenaventura is a city built on a place full of landfills.
This really impressed me, I found the shapes and the tonalities obtained incredible.

Por otro lado encontramos a KALIMAN, una saga radial que fue muy popular desde el año 1965. Reunía a las familias colombianas al rededor de las radios, para seguir las hazañas de Kaliman y su compañero Solín.
En el año 1076 comenzó a circular el impreso de esta serie en Colombia, Ecuador y Venezuela.

En esta sala se le rinde homenaje a esa época social de la popularidad.

On the other hand, we find KALIMAN, a radio saga that was very popular since 1965. It gathered Colombian families around the radios to follow the exploits of Kaliman and his companion Solín.
In the year 1076 the printed version of this series began to circulate in Colombia, Ecuador and Venezuela.

This room pays tribute to that social era of popularity.

En la siguiente sala encontramos piezas históricas, indígenas y retratos de héroes patrios de la región.
Les muestro algunas que llamaron mi atención por sus formas y colores.

En este museo todo esta muy bien resguardado, hay mucha vigilancia sobre las obras y realmente da mucho gusto como esta todo bien conservado.

In the next room we find historical pieces, indigenous and portraits of patriotic heroes of the region.
I show you some of them that caught my attention for their shapes and colors.

In this museum everything is very well guarded, there is a lot of vigilance over the works and it is really nice how everything is well preserved.

Aquí podrán observar una mascara ritual. Es fabricada con corteza procesada, pintada y cosida.
Es del pueblo Pamiwa, de la región Vaupés.
Un gran salón llenó de distintas pinturas, grandes e impactantes.
Una puerta dorada que ocupa casi la totalidad de una pared, y es una obra muy impresionante.

Here you can see a ritual mask. It is made of processed bark, painted and sewn.
It is from the Pamiwa people of the Vaupés region.
A large room filled with different paintings, large and impressive.
A golden door that occupies almost the entirety of a wall, and is a very impressive work.

Este paseo fue de los mejores que he vivido en Bogotá, adoré este museo, cada espacio tiene su magia.

Al final llegamos al balcón donde podemos ver otra sala pero estaba cerrada porque ya tenía muchas personas dentro, así que pronto la visitamos y les sigo mostrando.
Cerramos con el hermoso jardín antes de irnos.

This tour was one of the best I have experienced in Bogota, I loved this museum, each space has its magic.

At the end we arrived to the balcony where we can see another room but it was closed because it already had many people inside, so soon we visit it and I continue showing you.
We closed with the beautiful garden before leaving.
