¿Tú escuchas a tus hijos? // Do you listen to your children?

Their children at some point have told them “Did you see, mommy? You never listen to me” I do, days ago my 7-year-old boy told me while he was in the car and I was watching Hive.

I have focused a lot on being so aware of Hive or looking at my phone that although my son talks a lot, when he wants to say something important, I do not pay attention to him, and my son is coordinating what he says, he does not talk so many nonsense things.

Let me explain, César is a child who, due to his condition, there is not a moment that he does not have something to say, to tell, to comment on, but since he began to speak he has not stopped, only when he sleeps. What about those conversations? That they are from video games mixed with the cartoon of the moment and something that has happened to him with his friends, all mixed up and without order.

As a human being, there comes a time when I block myself and I don't listen to it because, although it is not important to listen to it, I feel that it is not as important as putting money into the account, which is what is sought in Hive or before Hive was the Instagram.

He is already realizing that I am not listening to him because he asks me about things that are important to him, such as being able to do the things he likes, since he has to ask permission to use the telephone or watch television, many times of those conversations are because he is planning his time and is asking me for permission to be able to do those activities that he wants to do.

Then I said to myself Is it worth not listening to it? NO, it is a resounding no. Because my son and his care come first, raising him before a phone, a social network, and even work. Although I am not in an office sitting in business clothes, as I like so much, I am with a phone from the time I get up until I go to bed, trying to figure out what to do with it.

My phone is an extension of my hand, as I have been told, and that is not why I should stop listening to others, not only to my son, it is not that I never listen to him, there are only moments when I concentrate on what I am doing and he wants me to listen to him because yes. It's a theme.

It is illogical that after I stopped working in the office to dedicate myself to him, I do not pay him the required attention, because that punishes me and I blame myself for not listening to him, given that he is a child who needs attention, so I do not want him to tell me that I never took it into account. For all my decisions, at his young age, he helps me make them, of course, as an adult I have the last word. It's just the two of us.

It is important to pay attention to what children tell us, because you never know what can happen with these conversations, many times what they say can surprise you and you can even discover that there is something wrong. It has happened to me with César who has told him things that children tell him that are bad or inappropriate, and that is why I encourage him to continue speaking and expressing himself.

That's why I keep telling him that if I listen to him, if he requires a quick response, I'm an expert in yes and no hehehehehe Then I see what trouble I got myself into.

I also began to think about taking time for him, establishing schedules, for example, if we are in an office 8 hours a day, comply with that, at least until he falls asleep. He understands very much the situation we are in right now, rather he encourages me to continue and write, he is patient and helps me correct if I put a word wrong when he reads me while he is next to me.
