It starts with a question and that is a reality. There are times we feel so down to the point when we start asking a lot of questions and in the midst of that question, we find an answer to it. This song carries that virtue, it brings us to a place when we understand that God still cares about us no matter what we are facing that he cares and he feels what we feel. So whenever you feel like giving us just know that God is in that situation and he feels the same way you feel and he wouldn't want you to give up on yourself and start wondering that you are alone in life.
Another thing is her riffs and runs. Oh my God, Whitney Houston is very good when it comes to creativity. She does it very easily, and she knows her onions. She may not really sing high notes, but she can manipulate those notes to suit the information she wants to communicate. Riffs and runs may not really be the basics of good music, but they have a way of commanding an audience. Whitney did not just use them, but she also made some effects that accompanied those notes, making everyone wowed.
