Now that we're started on a new year, it's time to start the planning process for some new multi day trips for the year.
Ideally I'd like to hit three different trails, and do a spattering of fun camping trips in between them.
The first park that I've got my eye on is the Olympic National park in Washington. There's an ample amount of trails to make a good long trip.
The second park would be Geribaldi Provincial park in BC. There are a couple of spots I'd like to visit, but the challenge will be in planning a hike that won't involve too much backtracking. It's a park that's designed for long day hikes and basecamps.

The third park would be Manning Park, also in BC. In afraid that I don't know very much about this park, besides it's ski hill and large size. I still have to find a decent trail map.

One of the most challenging part of planning these things is estimating how long it's going to take to get through it. The last one I went on took far less time than we predicted, but we did a halfed ass job at pacing ourselves appropriately. My diabetic buddy almost killed himself a couple of times. I think this time around we'll just take it slow.
