It's been three days since I've implemented the "No Sleeping on My Bed" policy. The literature states that because he's been sleeping with me, he feels as though that we are near equal status in the chain of command, and any outsiders are considered as inferior. So to curb this I've been kicking him off my bed and making him sleep in his own bed on the floor.

This has taken a lot of effort on my part, since I have to physically remove him from the bed, coax him to his own, make sure he actually settles in, and resist the urge to let him snuggle with me.

So after two succesful nights I thought I had this in the bag, but last night he did something I wasn't really expecting, but it didn't really surprise me either. He fucking peed on my bedroom door... right after I kicked him off and told him to get in his bed. This could be indicative of two things: either he's no longer feeling confident in his standing and is asserting himself as a result, or he's doing it as an act of defiance. Interestingly though, after I cleaned up the pee ( shout out to the odour eating enzyme spray) and told him to go to bed, he went straight to his own. So I think we're getting somewhere. Hopefully we'll see some real difference when
