"4-5-6" Iron Condor - SPY Summary.
What is interesting here is Trade #496 would have been fine if the markets had stayed flat or gone down. Instead, the markets rallied, and when I adjusted/closed the position in trade #513, it was not a good move. This is the risk when markets move against you. The JUNE 30 SPY Iron Condor was a good trade, but I would have made more money if I did nothing (#496) and let Theta decay happen. Adding risk to a position does not always work out, and you have to take your losses and move on.
My net gain was $13 or $14 for the "4-5-6" SPY Iron Condor Running P/L.
That does not mean my position is worst off. I closed the JUNE 30 (DTE 43) and opened the Sept 15 (DTE 120) position. I reduced some risk by doing this, especially on the call legs.
RIOT options Trades (added $80+)
Here are all the RIOT-covered calls I did this week. I rolled them down earlier in the week to add some risk and collect a few extra dollars in premiums. Toward the end of the week, I rolled the option into the May 26 Covered call and repeated the process.
Week #21 Dividends.
For this week (#21), I will get $76 in passive dividend income. Anything is better than nothing, and I will continue to snowball this for the next 20 years.
Have a profitable day,
