This is actually a compilation of the five chapters of a web series, created before the release of Halo 4 and serving to link the story between the third and fourth games.

Most of the film takes us to the memories of the events that occurred some 30 years before the present moment. To be precise the memories of the commander of the ship Infinity, that receives the distress signal from the Dawn, one of the few survivors of an entire planet, who were rescued by the master chief in one of the Covenant raids.
I admit, the first time I saw the movie, I was very disappointed. The first hour is slow, a bit boring and I didn't see any Spartans. I felt ripped off.
The action, the fun, is almost from the last half hour with the invasion of the Covenant and the appearance of the master chief. From here everything is a frenzy of action and drama.
Yes, there was criticism for the low budget assigned to make the production, but to be the link between two installments of the game, it's not too bad.
Just swallow the slowness of the first two thirds of the movie, it's not fun, it's a movie in the halo universe involving the master chief, I don't really get to see it as a Halo movie.
The part of the combat with the Covenant hunter is quite epic, the combat lasts a short time, but it is very well done.

La mayor parte de la película nos lleva a los recuerdos de los hechos acontecidos unos 30 años antes del momento presente. Para ser precisos los recuerdos del comandante de la nave Infinity, que recibe la señal de auxilio de la Dawn, uno de los pocos sobrevivientes de todo un planeta, que fueron rescatados por el jefe maestro en una de las incursiones del Covenant.
Lo admito, la primera vez que vi la película, me sentí muy decepcionado. La primera hora es lenta, un poco aburrida y no veía ningún Spartan. Me sentí estafado.
La acción, lo divertido, está casi desde la última media hora con la invasión del Covenant y la aparición del jefe maestro. Desde acá todo es un frenesí de acción y drama.
Sí, hubo críticas por el bajo presupuesto, asignado para hacer la producción, pero para ser el enlace entre dos entregas del juego, no está tan mal.
Solo que tragar lo lento de las dos terceras partes iniciales de la película, no es divertido, es una película en el universo de halo en la que participa el jefe maestro, no lo llego a ver como una película de Halo realmente.
La parte del combate con el cazador del Covenant es bastante épica, dura poco el combate, pero está muy bien logrado.
Para pasar un rato sabiendo los fallos y la idea básica de la producción está bien. Sin hacerse muchas expectativas se pasa un rato tranquilo.
Al final de los recuerdos del comandante de la nave Infinity, parte al rescate de la Dawn y vemos a Cortana despertando finalmente al jefe maestro, y es a partir de aquí que inicia la cuarta entrega de Halo, y termina la producción.
Es mi apreciación personal de esta serie Web, por supuesto, como espectador. No soy un crítico especializado. Se puede pasar un rato entretenido, más si eres un fan de la franquicia, a pesar de lo lento del inicio.
