A few miles into the hike, there was less signs of people and more signs of just pure nature. I eventually came across a campsite pretty far into the trail. People had some wood set up for a camp fire from a few weeks ago or maybe a lean to structure.
I keep walking along the water and see missing bark of from trees, many pests can knock off bark such as Beetles. But sometimes it can be Bears, we do have Black Bears in North Georgia so I was mindful of these signs on the trees.
I kept seeing more of them so I decided to turn around and head back to the trailhead, a few miles through the woods at this point. I never saw a Bear but did not want to chance it. I did not have my pistol on me at the time so just didnt want to take any chances.
As the sun was rising the woods lit in with a very beautiful look to it. And was glad I stayed under the tree canopies as it was a hot day.
