So....
After some stressful but still amazing days, I have finally some time to sit down and reflect what happened during the last few days.
We arrived in Mauritius on the 13th of December and I just realized that we have been here for almost two weeks. Do you know the feeling when you totally forget the current date, the time and also the actual weekday? That will only happen when you really enjoy what you do and when you are surrounded by people who you really like.
Many people around the globe are celebrating Christmas on the 25th of December but the German tradition is a little different. We usually get up on the 24th of December and focus on getting everything done before the holidays start officially. After preparing the food and wrapping all the gifts everyone will meet up for dinner. I can only tell you my perspective but every family has it´s own tradition of course. But as you might know by my last post, this year was totally different! It was the first time celebrating Xmas without my family. We flew to Mauritius to get some work done and stayed on the Island a little bit longer than I expected which was a dream come true. I was born in winter but my heart totally beats for sunshine and hot summer days. It´s peak season in Mauritius right now which means we are enjoying the holidays with more than 30 degrees...
Steemit has users around the globe but one thing really surprised me...
I have met hundreds, no thousands of people at my young age but I have never met people who were so hospitable and friendly like 
The location wasn´t too far away from our residence but still far enough to experience a lot of nature and new surroundings. When we first arrived at the hotel, I was fascinated by the architecture. Let me show you some pictures of the utility that I´ve found online.
The food was as good as you would imagine at such an high class resort but Mr.Gourmet aka

The dinner was very spontaneous and I feel so lucky to be able to experience such moments like yesterday! We talked about so many different things just like we know each other for a long time...
In the lobby we had the most beautiful Christmas tree ever! The light wasn´t the best but I still managed to catch this beauty with my phone camera.
It was so nice to catch up with another Steemian from the other site of the world. We are different but have so much in common. Thank you
