'Leave the yesterdays behind and live in the now' - this is how I've always lived my life. The lessons of yesterdays are worth carrying forward, but not the emotions. I cried a bit, hurt a bit and moved ahead. So let me leave that behind and move on with what I love doing photography and writing, balm for the soul, just what the doctor ordered.
So what do I bring here today - I missed my Wednesday walk, so I decided to go to my garden and fill in the colors. I love, love the colors I found there, blue, purple, pink my favorite colors. I found some reds and yellows too.
Let's start with the blue - this is commonly called the butterfly pea, pigeon wings, Clitoria ternatea is the botanical name. I don't know why anyone would call this the pigeon wings though maybe they see the central part of the flower as a pigeon, to me butterfly pea is fine. The pea part of the name comes from the seed pods which look like pea pods.
This one has a ton of colors in it, each new flower looks more beautiful than the previous one. I've been training this particular vine like a bonsai but right now I am not too successful, so I have other plans for this vine. Maybe some day soon I'll show you what I've done with it.
It rained heavily last night some of the roses with deep cup formations had water in them in the morning. Other had the tiny sting-less bees diving into them. This bee was so lost in the flower that he didn't even know I was so close taking pictures of him.
Most of the roses had received a battering from the wind and the rain and had most of their petals ripped off. Just a few okay looking flowers were left on the plants and I was happy that I could take these pictures.
This tiny bunch of flowers are from my Jatropha Integerrima Bonsai in training. Just before the rainy season started I had done some hard pruning and flowers are showing up now. These flowers are less than a centimeter in diameter.
My son heard what happened to me yesterday and he decided to send me a macro lens which I have been saving for, this morning. This was one of the few of the images were taken with this lens. I need to handle this better but these were the very first shots with this lens.
The mexican sunflower gone to seed. This image was taken on my phone not with the macro lens.
The left overs of the cherries in my garden. A squirrel has been feasting on the berries and I just get a little bit everyday.
Rain drops on the rose.
My Hoya is still in bloom. This is the fourth flush of flowers this year, its been the most amazing year for my hoya carnosa I guess there must have been some two hundred bunches in all this season. It has grown wild almost taking over my first floor balcony ceiling. I had no choice but to prune some of the wild growth and had planted them in my first floor pergola.
Next season should be sublime if everything goes well with the newly planted cuttings.
There you have it, I didn't miss my walk too much, I had my own kind of fun.
Thank you for taking the time to read and respond.
