I enjoy watching the butterflies, moths, spiders and birds in my garden. I honestly enjoy these as much as I enjoy being with my flowers and plants. Maybe it's to see these lovey creatures that I even cultivate my garden, perhaps it was there deep down within me without being fully aware of what was there behind it all. Doesn't this scene look like a bunch of unsuspecting flowers being watched by four eyes eyes of this tiny butterfly?
This moth that came through the kitchen window one day and sat on my hands. Then the little thing flew across after a second and sat on my son's head, but quickly came back to me and sat on my hands once again. It was a new experience for me, it was so thrilled by that act of the moth. It was like nature chose me even if it was for a fraction of a second as its own. I so cherish this moment even though this happened years ago.
This is another shot of the same butterfly but lately I see so many of them fallen dead in my garden. I wonder what causes this. I never spray any insecticide or chemicals in my garden. Only neem oil and Castile soap are my weapons of war in the garden. Each time I find a dead butterfly It makes me very sad.
I got my husband to take some quick pictures of the moth in my hand. I was making a chicken curry that day while this happened I remember when this little guy caused all the excitement. The curry got a bit burnt I had to quickly removed the dish from the fire and changed the contents into another pan before real damage was done. Haha.. while making curries you need to be a little more attentive.
Look at this spider, can you see him? I found him on the fence a little after sunset. It was winter and dark thankfully I was able to get this picture. I usually go hunting for moths in the parking lot of our building when its dark - just to take pictures of them, that is when I found this guy.
This is one of the dead butterflies in the garden, I am finding so many of these in garden these days. I brought this one down so I could take some pictures of it.
This was a grasshopper I found on a coleus leaf. I didn't notice it for a long time even though it was right under my nose. It was only while it moved that I noticed it. The camouflage was great. The leaf looks so amazing, this is one of my favorites among the coleus plants.
