I share images of a medieval castle that surprises you when you go to Mucuchíes, Mérida state (Venezuela), a town with beautiful mountain landscapes located at a high altitude: 2,983 meters above sea level.

It is the Castillo San Ignacio Hotel, a building made of stones and red bricks that has been built for more than 30 years and has become an emblem of the region.

Being a place with an unusual design, people who are not going to stay there still visit it, as I did when I went on a tour to the moor, just to take pictures, stroll through its original spaces or eat there, there is a restaurant.

The Castillo San Ignacio Hotel is inspired by Marostica, an Italian city with a lot of medieval architecture located in the province of Vicenza.
