Today's my architecture trip about urban parks in the city of Banda Aceh. What do we expect from a city park? About an open area to play and enjoy culinary. Exactly right!

Banda Aceh is a popular city for its beach tourism destinations. One of them is the beach in the Ulee Lheue area as a tourist destination as well as a port for crossing facilities to SABANG.

The central area of Ulee Lheue is quite crowded. Ulee Lheue Park can be an option to avoid crowds that are centered in areas near busy ports.

Taking a walk in the evening is the best. Stopped at the city park, I sat on a park bench. There are many activities that we can do later.

Iconic Ulee Lheue Park Bridge

Just like city parks in general, it must have at least one thing that is an attraction. While passing through the area here, I saw the entrance area of Ulee Lheue Park which was like a bridge.

At Ulee Lheue Park, a bridge was made for people to walk to the main area of the park. Not just a bridge, but on the right and left side added details of diagonal shapes.

Local news sources said that this bridge had been renovated because it was damaged. In my opinion, there should be a warning at the beginning of the bridge area about the prohibition of crossing for motorcyclists.

It can be said that it is difficult for Indonesian citizens to be orderly if they are not really given written regulations. This bridge should only be intended for pedestrians only.

In addition to the iconic bridge shape, outdoor lights are also added to impress a cheerful atmosphere. For family gatherings. From a distance when it starts to get dark it will look good.

The bridge in the Ulee Lheue Park area can be a good photo location. Especially for us immigrants to create memories by taking pictures on this iconic bridge!

Slide Arena Beside the Bridge

There is a slide game arena beside the bridge. Two slides were placed, each on one side of the bridge. Distinctive slides are brightly colored children's favorite. Pretty brilliant in my opinion. So, children who walk on the bridge can immediately go down to the field area by using the slide.

If I was a kid, I would also happily slide down that slide to the infield. Interesting!

Small Cottages

In other areas, we can see several small huts/cottages being built. These places can be used to seat a family. Also, put things and eat lunch brought from home.

The cottages use bright white and blue colors. Well, we can use this facility for free.

The Center Area Of Ulee Lheue Park

In the center section, ceramics are used for a clean impression and make it easier for visitors to play with children.

We can also see some white tents for the merchants there. Also, they offer lots of activities for kids to play like coloring, and driving toy cars.

For the impression of a green space as a public open area, areas that do not use ceramics are laid out with neat grass that is smooth and safe for visitors' feet.
